BeyondTrucks announced a new smart fuel card management feature that makes managing driver fuel cards more secure for fleets.
“By enabling smart fuel card management in our TMS we are eliminating the need for manual card management processes and greatly reducing the risk of unauthorized fuel purchases,” says Hans Galland, CEO of BeyondTrucks. “As the first fuel card provider to take advantage of these new capabilities, EFS will be able to offer fleet customers better control over purchases, reduced administrative work, and the ability to provide drivers with the payment flexibility they need on the road.”
Key takeaways:
- The new BeyondTrucks smart fuel card management feature provides the ability to automatically activate a driver fuel card subject to pre-defined triggers, such as when they're hauling a load, and deactivate them when they're not on assignment; instantly generate and send money codes to make funds available to drivers directly through BeyondTrucks; track advances and include them in driver settlement calculations; and update fuel consumption data for each driver, as customary in traditional systems for owner operator drivers or IFTA calculations.
- The multi-tenant cloud platform provides software innovation that addresses the significant shortcomings and expenses of other transportation management systems. Through the multi-tenant architecture, fleets (tenants) receive the benefit of easily deployable integrations and updates, cost-sharing, a higher level of cybersecurity, increased data speed, and the flexibility to incorporate advancements in artificial intelligence. This platform can be tailored to the needs of each individual “tenant fleet,” allowing for the rapid realization of productivity improvements.
- Additional features include order intake automation, smart load planning, dispatch communication, configurable driver workflows, and flexible automation of invoicing and driver payroll.
“As the central operating system for enterprise fleets, our integrations focus not merely on reducing tedious manual data entry, but providing load planners, dispatchers, and back-office staff with the data that enable better decisions and translate into better actions,” says Galland. “Available on any fuel card, our fuel payment and cash advance management capabilities are a great example of how our platform is differentiated in its positioning.”
