ALAMEDA, CA October 26, 2001 - GT Nexus, a provider of global e-logistics software solutions, today announced that The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) awarded the company a contract to deploy and operate a private network that will help P&G contract and manage its global ocean transportation agreements.

GT Nexus was selected after a thorough review of several providers.  GT Nexus provided a solution that brings together P&G's internal processes and ocean carriers on a common collaborative platform.

"P&G is a company known for leadership and innovation, especially in logistics and distribution. We are very excited to have them as a customer," said Aaron Sasson, Chairman and CEO of GT Nexus.  "P&G has put their confidence in GT Nexus to drive additional efficiencies into the management of their global transportation contracts with their ocean carriers. We are committed to delivering an innovative, effective solution that allows P&G to work collaboratively, as never before, with its service providers in managing its complex distribution needs."

A private logistics network from GT Nexus is designed to improve visibility, collaboration and control across key logistics activities through which customers engage their logistics partners.  Through a private network, a customer can specifically accomplish the following:

-- Connect and integrate all their selected logistics partners on a single, global communications platform

-- Work with their logistics partners using standardized, web-based business processes to replace the manual processes today.

-- Centrally manage and optimize their ocean transportation contracts, including negotiations, forecasts and allocations among multiple global providers.

-- Improve coordination and collaboration with all their logistics partners using accurate and timely performance analytics.
