eBreviate Beats a Path to Bidpath

Partners to offer online forward auctions for corporate asset disposition

Tempe, AZ July 5, 2001 Two online auction veterans today announced an alliance to offer forward auctions for asset disposition over the Internet.

Seattle-based Bidpath, a technology company that helps auctioneers market and manage auction events, including live, Internet auctions, is teaming up with eBreviate, which positions itself as a provider of such electronic sourcing services as online reverse auctions and electronic surveys.

The partners are targeting the B2B market for the disposition of corporate, personal and government assets by auction, a market that could exceed $200 billion in the United States, according to a national Gallup survey.

eBreviate, headquartered in Walnut Creek, Calif., has had an upward auction tool available to help its customers liquidate assets when they replace hardware or other items, but the relationship with Bidpath will add a partner with two years of experience in the field of asset disposition.

eBreviate is a division of EDS.
