Tempe, AZ May 28, 2002 e-Sourcing provider Procuri has teamed with process optimization specialist Tier Solutions to target the automotive industry.
Procuri provides strategic e-sourcing technologies and services designed to help organizations collaborate, communicate and negotiate with their suppliers. Tier Solutions, which provides services and solutions to improve business performance in the automotive industry, will incorporate Procuri's e-sourcing platform into its supply chain management offering.
Tier Solutions' market focus includes tier-two and -three automotive suppliers and decentralized first-tier suppliers. Procuri's customers include large organizations in such industries as electronics, transportation, consumer products and chemicals.
Dennis Virag, CEO of Tier Solutions, said his company tapped Procuri because its e-sourcing platform and coached training process matched what tier-two and tier-three automotive suppliers have said they need and want to further improve the efficiency of their own supply chains.
