INTTRA Expands Its NVOCC Network through Agreement with Craft Multimodal

Craft Multimodal to reduce the manual shipment process and improve access to shipment information through INTTRA's shipping solution

Parsippany, N.J.July 16, 2013—Craft Multimodal entered into an agreement with INTTRA, a global multi-carrier e-commerce network provider for ocean shipping, to join the INTTRA Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) network.

“Our market leadership has been achieved through our focus on exceeding our customer expectations with a constant commitment to operational excellence, information accuracy and data confidentiality,” said Bruno Crelier, Corporate Director of Craft Multimodal. “Leveraging the INTTRA platform gives us additional capabilities to execute against these essential elements of our company strategy.”

A cargo consolidator for import and export services in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile, Craft Multimodal offers 180 routes throughout South America. Under the agreement, Craft will leverage the INTTRA platform to reduce manual shipment processing and improve access to shipment information through a comprehensive e-commerce shipping solution. The agreement includes an accelerated implementation leveraging INTTRA’s online shipping capabilities for all of Craft’s brands, affiliates and customers.

The efficiency benefits from automation and streamlined ocean freight shipment processes across INTTRA’s multi-carrier network will enable continued market expansion and improved service delivery to Craft’s customers. By reducing manual data entry, shipping information quality can be significantly improved. Other benefits include faster response times to customer inquiries; increased delivery of container tracking event messages; and less time validating and correcting shipment transactions to ensure proper processing.

“The South American market has traditionally been a strong adopter of e-commerce technology for ocean shipping,” said Ronald DeBlis, Senior Vice President of Global Sales, INTTRA. “We welcome Craft and their affiliates to the INTTRA network and recognize it is a great combination of two market leaders. Building upon the strengths of both of our organizations, we can make dramatic improvements in the efficiency and accuracy of shipments throughout the region.”
