Chicago—Feb. 4, 2013—Celtic International, an intermodal company which provides equipment management, systems and customer service, appointed Steven Golich as President. He will report to past president Rich Hyland, who will remain at Celtic as Chief Executive Officer and as a board member of Transplace, a third party logistics (3PL) provider. This change will allow Hyland to focus on strategic initiatives for the combined companies; and enable him to continue to play a key role in developing the company he built during the last 10 years.
“I am pleased to welcome Steve as Celtic’s new president,” said Hyland. “He brings executive-level perspective and decades of transportation experience. His strengths in leadership, staff and employee development as well as customer satisfaction, are certain to drive excellence throughout our organization and for our e-sourcing solutions. Over the past several years we have achieved substantial growth. Steve’s leadership capabilities and extensive experience will position Celtic to take the next step in our evolution as a leading intermodal marketing company.”
Prior to his role at Celtic, Golich’s past leadership positions included his role as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Alliance Shippers; Vice President, General Manager and Co-owner of Selective Distribution; and President of Acme Motor Freight and The Nu-Trans Companies.
“Since Transplace joined forces with Celtic in 2011, the partnership has proven successful for customers at both companies,” said Tom Sanderson, Chief Executive Officer, Transplace. “Steve is an outstanding executive and a proven leader, and I fully expect he will continue to grow the Celtic business and be an integral part of the combined companies’ executive team.”
Golich holds a Bachelor degree in Business Marketing from Northern Illinois University.
