New York, NY — January 17, 2006 — Supply chain technology solutions provider RedPrairie Corp. said that it is delivering solutions for distribution labor management for retailers such as Sears, TJX Companies and Wal-Mart. The solutions are built on the Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft SQL Server 2000.

John Jazwiec, RedPrairie's company leader, commented that retail distribution is complex, fast-paced and labor-intensive. In order to standardize distribution processes and reduce costs in such an environment, 11 of the top 20 retailers, as well as many smaller retail companies, have employed RedPrairie Workforce Performance Management solutions in their distribution operations. We are positioning these and our other supply chain solutions more prominently in the retail marketplace, he said.

RedPrairie's distribution labor solutions for retail encompass all of the functions within workforce performance management, including work methods development, engineered standards, resource planning and allocation, performance measurement and reporting, labor optimization, time and attendance, and incentives and rewards.

The integrated capabilities, according to RedPrairie, enable retailers to improve productivity and utilization of their workforce, reduce replenishment times and lower labor costs. Retail customers typically experience a reduction of 10 to 20 percent in distribution costs with the solution, RedPrairie said.
