Updates user interface, beefs up support for end-to-end sourcing process in pharma, retail and CPG

Wayland, MA — May 11, 2006 — Tourtellotte Solutions, a provider of supply chain software for the pharmaceutical, retail and consumer goods markets, has taken the wraps off the latest release of its flagship sourcing product, unveiling a newly designed user interface and support for the end-to-end sourcing process.

RockBlocks 7.0 is the most widely adopted sourcing product for retail, consumer goods and branded apparel and footwear manufacturers and currently processes billions of dollars of transactions each year in over 50 countries, according to Tourtellotte.

Version 7.0 supports the entire sourcing process from quotation through final delivery by automating workflow, exception and event management, providing a central data repository for all supply chain information and enabling collaboration between internal and external supply chain participants, the solution provider said.

Most of the updated features were developed based on input from existing customers such as Staples, JC Penney, Saks, Timberland, Payless, Clarks and The Home Depot. Tourtellotte saod. RockBlocks 7.0 is the third major release since Tourtellotte acquired the product, and it is the first release under the restored RockBlocks brand name.

RockBlocks 7.0 includes a new graphical user interface and a rules-based engine that puts custom business processes — alerts, flags, rules — in simple terms. More information on new features is available at the solution provider's Web site.
