Irvine, CA  July 25, 2005  Epicor Software Corp., a provider of integrated enterprise software solutions for the mid-market, today announced that Backroads, an active travel company that offers nearly 150 active itineraries for bicyclists, walkers, hikers and multi-sport enthusiasts in 34 countries around the world, has chosen Epicor Enterprise to manage and streamline its financial and operational resources.

Founded in 1979, Backroads began as a small, regional touring company that offered bike trips in the western United States and has grown to be the world's No. 1 active travel company. Today Backroads offers more than 1,400 scheduled departures annually with services ranging from Premiere Inn Trips at five-star hotels to Deluxe Camping Trips at scenic campgrounds where Backroads' leaders prepare meals and handle camp chores.
