Adds order and fulfillment process management, visualization
Atlanta — June 22, 2004 — Today, Viewlocity announced general availability of version 4.3 of the company's supply chain visibility and event management software.
With a focus on inter-enterprise business process management, Viewlocity said changes to the new release include dynamic modeling and management for both order and fulfillment processes in extended enterprise environments. Business users can now set up, monitor and manage both domestic and international order and fulfillment processes themselves, while also accessing alerting and reporting capabilities.
The release also debuts new administrative features for data management and system operation, which Viewlocity claimed would save system owners costs while enhancing the application's usability.
Other new features include a graphical interface for process building and viewing, advanced transportation network management, the ability for users to assign and manage thecompletion of tasks related to processes and events, and enhanced data management and cleansing.
"The ability to visualize order status and fulfillment activities allows business users to quickly comprehend the impact of supply chain disruptions on delivery dates, costs and other dependent processes and activities," said Michael Sherman, the company's chief technology officer and head of product development.
