Transportation Insight introduces its next generation of Insight Fusion, an interactive business intelligence engine that helps shippers harness their parcel, LTL and Truckload shipping data to uncover actionable insights. The latest enhancements to the platform empower customers to harness rich data across all transportation modes to quickly visualize critical performance trends, accelerate operational improvements and increase the quality of service to their end customers.
“We believe that while enterprise logistics is complex, solutions should be straightforward,” says Ken Beyer, Chief Executive Officer of TI HoldCo, which is comprised of Transportation Insight and Nolan Transportation Group (NTG). “Our logistics engineers have leveraged our experience optimizing thousands of enterprise supply chains to productize the best-in-class insights and make them easily accessible to anyone through Insight Fusion. We will continue to invest in advancing our suite of digital tools to deliver data-driven, predictive solutions that create a sustainable competitive advantage for our network of shippers and carriers across all modes.”
Transportation Insight Senior Vice President of Client Services Sophie Dabbs reports a diverse and large customer base is already successfully utilizing Insight Fusion and leveraging its capabilities to gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace. According to Dabbs, the Insight Fusion platform offers access to key transportation performance indicators via dashboards, scorecards, reports and maps to quickly identify opportunities and support continuous improvement.
“In addition to improving the experience for their own customers, our clients find that Insight Fusion also streamlines their own internal operations and workflow,” Dabbs explains. “The advanced Insight Fusion platform offers access on-demand to key data elements which facilitates quicker and more accurate forecasting of transportation costs.”
“By serving as a central repository for capturing and evaluating historical shipping documents, carrier invoices and other cost drivers, Insight Fusion further augments productivity by reducing the demand for IT involvement in reporting and analytics,” she adds. ”The return on investment for Insight Fusion is immediate.”
Transportation Insight Chief Commercial Officer Carl Fowler notes the objective in developing Insight Fusion was to assimilate data from across the supply chain to give users a new perspective on their transportation management strategy.
“By identifying business trends, highlighting the impact of cost and service on profits and uncovering performance improvement opportunities, Insight Fusion empowers Transportation Insight’s clients to master their supply chain and logistics programs,” he says.
Fowler explains that Insight Fusion allows users to move from a defensive supply chain management strategy to an offensive approach. He adds, “Insight Fusion can identify the levers to pull that will improve profit margin, distribution alignment, vendor compliance, accessorial mitigation and mode optimization.”
