Centric Software's Product Lifecycle Management Solution Chosen by Triumph

The company wanted to improve efficiency, transparency and cost effectiveness with product lifecycle management

Los Gatos, CADec. 30, 2015Triumph International, Europe's foremost intimates brand, selected Centric Software to provide its product lifecycle management (PLM) solution.

Founded in 1886 as a little corset factory in Germany, today Triumph has a presence in 120 countries and a 2014 revenue of 1.437 billion euros. As a successful global manufacturer of lingerie, underwear, sleepwear and swimwear, Triumph sought a PLM solution that would manage the complexity and scale of its operations. Triumph now plans to implement Centric 8 in the brand, design, development and sourcing processes of both its Triumph and sloggi brands.

With the challenge of increased competition in a tight market, Triumph was seeking ways to increase and improve its efficiency. In order to enhance its data flows and development processes, the company decided to look for a PLM solution that would simplify development, add structure, remove inefficiencies, and increase transparency and clarity.

“We were looking for a backbone for our data flows and communication. Essentially, we needed to standardize the whole process. Previously, we had been using spreadsheets, which was very time-consuming. With Centric on board, we are looking forward to having an easy-to-use, harmonized tool that will allow us to share processes and information efficiently and transparently,” said Rainer Zeusche, head of master data governance at Triumph International.

Triumph plans to implement Centric's core PLM solution, Centric 8, across the sloggi brand first and then add the Triumph brand in a second phase. The final phase will include Triumph's Japan business. Triumph anticipates that the single-version-of-the-truth concept at the heart of Centric's PLM solution will help the company to shorten lead times, reduce costs, become more efficient and streamline operations.

“There is a lot of complexity in our design-to-market processes and we are always looking for ways to make things simpler. We chose Centric because their agile approach makes it easy to get people involved, but we don't have to define everything from the beginning. With changing business processes and responsibilities, it's important to be able to improve solutions over time. Centric's solution is flexible and user-friendly. We also appreciate the expertise of Centric's consultants—they are always able to support with best practices, answer your questions and really understand our business,” explained Andreas Salzer, SAP process manager at Triumph International.

“We are very excited to work with Triumph as it implements our core PLM solution. We work hard to create PLM software that is intuitive, efficient and easy to use, and we are delighted that the leading intimates brand in Europe decided our solution is most suited to their needs. Our expert consultants will help Triumph implement Centric 8 and will partner with them through all phases of the project as it moves its data and production processes to the new system,” concluded Chris Groves, president and CEO of Centric Software.
