3PL Worldwide Appoints Tom McCormack Director of Information Technology

IT Veteran to Emphasize Strategic Customer-Focused Services and Global Expansion

MILFORD, CONNECTICUT – September 27, 2011 – 3PL Worldwide, a leading North American provider of fulfillment, logistics and contact center services, today announced Tom McCormack has been named Director of Information Technology. In his new role, Mr. McCormack will be tasked with leading 3PL Worldwide’s IT operations, and driving IT strategy in support of the company’s business objectives across all major target markets including direct response, catalog and e-commerce.

Mr. McCormack has an impressive track record within the logistics and IT industries. Prior to arriving at 3PL Worldwide, he served at two separate third-party logistics firms where, in both cases, he was instrumental in a substantial growth in business. Most recently, he was Vice President of Information Systems at Silver Line Building Products, an Andersen Windows company, where he was responsible for infrastructure, telecom and business applications, including major investments in virtualization supporting the $650 million business unit.

As Director of Information Technologies at Vertis Communications, Mr. McCormack was responsible for manufacturing and shared applications for an $850+ million enterprise. He also spearheaded a major Wal-Mart Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) initiative for Taylored Services, establishing RFID fulfillment operations in support of Wal-Mart’s distribution initiatives.
