Women in Supply Chain: Nulogy's Christine Barnhart Talks Changing DEI Narratives on Women’s Progress

Christine Barnhart, chief industry and ecosystem officer for Nulogy, explores the impact of bias and changing DEI narratives on women’s progress.

Christine Barnhart, chief industry and ecosystem officer for Nulogy, was named one of Food Logistics' and Supply & Demand Chain Executive's 2024 Women in Supply Chain award winners in the Trailblazers category.

Over the course of her 25-year career, Barnhart has worked to create an inclusive workplace that involves appreciating the skills and perspectives of all employees, especially those from traditionally under-represented backgrounds.

What's more, the belief that there are insufficient qualified candidates from under-represented groups is a misconception. To combat this, she advises organizations and individuals to create inclusive environments and support these groups actively, including through diversified hiring practices and valuing diverse life experiences.

Barnhart sat down with Sarah Barnes-Humphrey, founder of Let's Talk Supply Chain podcast and Blended Pledge program, both presenting sponsors of the Women in Supply Chain award, to discuss the disappointing results of Gartner’s ninth annual Women in Supply Chain survey; explore the impact of bias and changing DEI narratives on women’s progress; and shine a spotlight on the women that inspire us.
