Rite-Hite launched Dok-Commander Pro, an advanced dock control solution designed to provide real-time equipment visibility and advanced diagnostics at the loading dock with connectivity through the Rite-Hite ONE platform that extends visibility across multiple docks and facilities.

“Dock controls are central to daily operations, but they have not always provided the level of insight that teams need,” says Jason Schmid, product manager at Rite-Hite. “Dok-Commander Pro transforms the dock into a connected control panel. This gives users real-time visibility, advanced diagnostics and actionable equipment data to improve response time, safety and uptime.”

Key takeaways:

·        Dok-Commander Pro builds on the established Dok-Commander platform with a full touchscreen interface, multilingual-ready navigation and over-the-air firmware and user interface (UI) updates.

·        The system is designed to help facilities enhance dock safety, streamline troubleshooting and support more informed maintenance planning.

·        Dok-Commander Pro provides operations and maintenance teams with immediate visibility into dock equipment status, safety-related fault codes and connected device activity through an intuitive touchscreen interface with guided troubleshooting. When connected to the Rite-Hite ONE platform, this visibility extends across multiple dock positions, allowing teams to monitor and troubleshoot equipment from a single location instead of going dock to dock, helping them respond faster and reduce unplanned disruptions.

·        Over-the-air updates allow facilities to maintain current control functionality without requiring hardware replacement, supporting long-term flexibility and minimizing service complexity.

·        The system enhances awareness of dock activity, including impact events, active loading conditions and operating sequences.

·        Lok-Vu Pro transitions vehicle restraint status from traditional analog signals to clear digital confirmation. This approach helps operators verify equipment engagement and dock readiness more confidently before loading and unloading, without requiring boots-on-the-ground verification. Lok-Vu Pro is ready for future AI feature enhancements without needing new hardware.

·        The new Smart Leveler package delivers visibility into dock leveler performance. By automatically calculating fork truck cycles, measuring speed and detecting impacts, it helps facilities manage dock utilization, tailor maintenance schedules based on actual equipment usage and proactively detect safety risks before they become safety events, without manual tracking.

·        Dok-Commander Pro captures detailed equipment and activity data at the dock position. When connected to Rite-Hite ONE, that data scales from a single dock to an entire facility, and from one facility to an enterprise view across all locations. The system automatically tracks trailer dwell times, dock utilization, detention trends and safety incidents like restraint overrides. Cycle-based equipment data lets teams service equipment based on actual usage instead of fixed schedules, helping prevent unplanned downtime.
