SAN JOSE and MOUNTAIN VIEW -- SAQQARA Systems, a product information management and exchange software and services provider, has been tapped by OneBuild to manage its product content information. SAQQARAs ProductServer Java edition software will handle the job.
OneBuilds materials marketplace facilitates the buying and selling of a broad range of products in the commercial and industrial construction industry. The Mountain View-based construction marketplace selected SAQQARAs ProductServer Java software because of its flexibility, time to market advantage and simplicity of the authoring environment on a UNIX platform. "With OneBuilds focus on improving the materials procurement process, we needed a solution that would fit our comprehensive approach to e-commerce and one that could do it quickly," said Shirish Kumar, vice president of engineering for OneBuild. "SAQQARAs ProductServer will allow us to focus on our core competencies of construction materials procurement. ProductServer will enable the smooth exchange of critical product information between suppliers, buyers, and the marketplace, optimizing the flexibility and scalability of the OneBuild platform."
This marks SAQQQARAs first venture into the construction industry vertical market.
