TPN Register, a catalog- and content-management provider for B2B e-commerce, announced an agreement with NBC to provide comprehensive catalog-management services to fuel the success of NBC's internal e-procurement program.
The new partnership adds NBC to TPN's impressive list of partners. To date, that list includes Ariba, Clarus, Oracle and GE, just to name a few.
NBC plans to leverage TPN Register's catalog-management expertise and existing supplier relationships to ramp more than a dozen suppliers within three months. In addition, NBC will rely on TPN Register to help it quickly achieve its return-on-investment goals.
Because of the service-oriented nature of its business, the majority of NBC's indirect purchases are distinct products such as broadcast equipment, cables, furniture, studio lighting, etc. In addition to the specialized list of suppliers, NBC will have the ability to access TPN's unique service suppliers and capabilities.
