Responsys.com unveils new customer acquisition service

Palo Alto, CA  BUSINESS WIRE  December. 11, 2000   Responsys.com, an online direct marketing provider, launched its newest customer acquisition service, Responsys Acquire. Responsys Acquire claims to offer its Responsys customers access to over 120 million opt-in email addresses as a way to integrate permission-based email communications into their e-commerce strategies.

The president and CEO of Responsys.com, George Wiedemann, said of the new service, Responsys Acquire allows businesses to find and connect with people who have expressed an interest in their products or services. This addition to our product family completes the solution, from acquisition through retention.


Responsys Acquire allows its customers to select permission-based lists from email list vendors based on prospect demographics and preferences. In addition, their single closed-loop program integrates acquisition and retention efforts, enabling campaign reporting and automated follow-up campaigns.


One benefit of Responsys Acquire is their screening process, which evaluates vendors' methods of collecting email addresses. Responsys.com works only with vendors that meet its online privacy standards. The lists they acquire are rented, not bought and sold, and list members only receive emails from the list owner, as stated in the permission policy.
