Palo Alto, CA and Vienna, VA April 25 Informatica Corp., a provider of e-business analytic solutions; and MicroStrategy Inc., a worldwide provider of business intelligence software, today announced the incorporation of the MicroStrategy 7 business intelligence platform as the front-end presentation layer of the newly released Informatica eMarketplace analytic application.
Informatica eMarketplace will enable operators of B2B marketplaces to provide buyers and suppliers with information on market dynamics, customer buying patterns and pricing trends. The MicroStrategy business intelligence platform, MicroStrategy 7, which will now be Informatica eMarketplace's front end, provides the Web reporting, security, performance and standards that buyers and suppliers need to conduct e-business. MicroStrategy can analyze growing multi-terabyte data warehouses, distributing information to millions of users. The open and flexible platform provides the business intelligence foundation for all analytical and reporting applications across the enterprise.
"As a Web-based front end for Informatica eMarketplace, the MicroStrategy 7 platform will provide users with a thin client for easy access to analytic information and a scalable, relational OLAP engine for views of that information," said Ron Papas, vice president of business development for Informatica.
"Informatica realizes that the MicroStrategy platform can be easily customized and integrated to meet any business intelligence need," said Sanju Bansal, chief operating officer of MicroStrategy Inc.
