Under the terms of the agreement, I-many will become J.D. Edwards' marketing partner to help clients manage the industry-specific pricing and contract issues facing life-science companies.

The alliance allows J.D. Edwards' to bring I-many and I-many's Contract Administration and Reporting System (CARS/IS) to prospective clients as well as J.D. Edwards' existing Life Science customers. Efforts will begin immediately to deliver an interface, integrating the two companies' offerings.

Collaboration with partners is at the core of a company's success, said Dave Hill, vice president of collaborative supply chain solutions at J.D. Edwards. J.D. Edwards is always striving to provide whole solutions for our customers, and it's great that we were able to find a best-of-breed partner in I-many with their CARS/IS software.

Additionally, with the product alliance, J.D. Edwards' customers in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries can improve their contract management process by working jointly with I-many and J.D. Edwards.

There is a great synergy between J.D. Edwards' offerings and I-many's CARS product, said Tim Curran, executive vice president of corporate development. While OneWorld Xe helps companies manage the flow of goods through the supply chain, we help companies manage the terms of the agreements formed with trading partners, and the relationships with the trading partners.
