Pleasanton, CA June 14, 2001 Commerce One today announced that Dennis H. Jones, COO and vice chairman of Commerce One, has been promoted to president effective July 1, succeeding Robert M. Kimmitt. Kimmitt is leaving the position of president of Commerce One to join AOL Time Warner. He will continue as a member of the Commerce One board of directors.

Jones joined Commerce One as COO and vice chairman in April of this year. As a former executive vice president for FedEx Corporation, Jones played an active role in growing FedEx from $30 million in revenues to more than $20 billion.
