Redwood City, CA September 21, 2001 Secure content networking company Ingrian Networks has announced a strategic partnership with Netegrity, which provides software solutions for securely managing e-business. Under the terms of the agreement, Netegrity's SiteMinder Web authentication and access control agent will be integrated into Ingrian Network's Secure Content Networking platforms, delivering solutions for access management and end-to-end content security.
SiteMinder combines single sign-on, authentication management and entitlement management functionality, and provides companies with the ability to centrally manage access management functionality on a site, reducing the cost and complexity of administering these Web sites.
"As global businesses move more and more secure applications and services online, it's imperative that only authorized individuals have access to confidential data," said Rod Murchison, vice president of product management for Ingrian Networks. "By integrating Netegrity's authentication and authorization software into our secure content networking platform, we are breaking new ground by offering enterprises and financial services organizations an end-to-end content security infrastructure that supports their strategic electronic business initiatives."
With the integrated solution, network managers can now move the authentication and authorization processes off Web servers and forward into the secure network infrastructure, increasing the stability of Web servers already running multiple software programs. Managers can also activate and configure the SiteMinder Web agent from Ingrian Network's management interface, saving time and resources.
"Ingrian Networks' innovative Secure Content Networking platform, combined with SiteMinder's access management functionality, provides a complete, secure and scalable infrastructure to meet the needs of the fast-growing secure content delivery market," said Sumner Blount, Netegrity's senior director of channels.
