San Francisco February 21, 2002 Cap Gemini Ernst and Young (CGE&Y) will implement a contract workforce procurement and management solution from eWork, the solution provider announced today.
eWork provides hosted software solutions for procuring, managing and payrolling the enterprise-wide contract workforce. CGE&Y will use the eWork's ProSource solution internally to manage its contract workforce.
Industry experts estimate that this type of solution can deliver soft-cost savings of nearly 15 percent of a company's total spend on information technology contractors.
"Industry research shows that service firms typically spend 80 percent of their corporate purchasing dollars on business services like contact labor, and these expenditures have not been efficiently sourced or managed to date, not even by traditional e-procurement systems," said Christa Degnan, senior research analyst at the Aberdeen Group.
Degnan suggested that the eWork solution's ability to handle the contractor management process from finding and matching candidates through consolidated invoicing and payment could help CGE&Y hire better candidates more quickly and at a lower total cost and liability.
