Southfield, MI May 23, 2002 Auto-industry service provider MSX International will use Commerce One 5.0 solutions as its platform for its outsourced procurement and sourcing services to customers in the automotive and other industries.
MSX already uses the Commerce One platform and procurement solution to provide e-procurement and business services to its customers. By licensing Commerce One's Source solution and components of the provider's Buy application, MSXI will supplement its existing outsourced procurement service with new collaborative e-commerce capabilities, including e-sourcing capabilities.
"Adding Commerce One 5.0 to our current procurement offering was a natural fit for us," said Thomas Stallkamp, vice chairman and CEO for MSX International. "We chose Commerce One 5.0 solutions because they provide a complete source-to-pay solution that easily integrates with our customers' existing applications. This can increase business efficiency and enhance their competitive advantage."
Stallkamp added that the additional Commerce One solutions are going to enable MSX to expand into new commercial sectors while continuing to support the automotive industry.
In addition to the licensing agreement, MSX International and Commerce One will work together on sales and marketing opportunities in support of mutual strategic accounts.
