Philadelphia August 28, 2002 The hotel spend season, in which corporations commit nearly $140 billion to lodging, is in full swing and travel procurement solutions provider eCLIPSE Advisors made a timely announcement this week on the availability of LODGIC, a hotel procurement request for purchase (RFP) tool for corporations, suppliers and travel agencies.
According to the company, LODGIC is designed to manage the online RFP process and generate detailed supplier information for use during contract negotiations. Its supplier database includes 40,000 hotels globally and covers more than 700 variables per property, from number of smoke detectors per room to availability of individual e-folios.
Additionally, LODGIC consists of six components: consulting, an online RFP tool, platform integration, a GDS rate audit tool, a program compliance tool, and a benchmarking study.
Michael Boult, chief operating officer of eCLIPSE Advisors, said, "LODGIC rationalizes the entire RFP process and results in sizeable corporate cost-savings through the negotiation of optimal supplier contracts."
Since June 2002, eCLIPSE Advisors has enrolled over 20 corporate clients to use the LODGIC RFP platform, including Sun Microsystems.
