Direct material fulfillment solution adds multi-item mass updates, updated log-in screen

Southfield, MI February 13, 2003 Solution provider SupplySolution this week took the wraps off the latest iteration of its direct material fulfillment application, adding an updated log-in screen, greater functionality with multi-item mass updates and an aggregation component for single part viewing across multiple facilities.

Version 4.7 of the i-Supply Service allows users to view all locations, quantities and sources of aggregated supply or demand for a single item number, SupplySolution says.

Additionally, the i-Supply QuickView component, which is now available in multiple languages, contains added filters to improve critical views of inventory status, history and enhancements to the in-bound shipments display, features intended to improve shipping and receiving processes for material managers, according to the provider.

Subash Bhatia, chief technology officer at SupplySolution, said that the new version was establishing a critical component of the company's platform development by incorporating J2EE architecture. "We believe this is a step forward in developing industry-sanctioned standards for supply chain applications," Bhatia said.

The i-Supply Service is a hosted application, and these upgrades are immediately available to all of i-Supply's users.

Version 4.7 is the second release to the Service since the start of the year. In January, users saw several changes with Version 4.6.1 of the service. SupplySolution says it has released five upgrades to its applications and infrastructure since September 2002, all of which immediately went live globally, and none of which required a planned or unplanned interruption in service to any customers.
