Emory University selects solution to manage suppliers, enhance e-procurement offering

Research Triangle Park, N.C. Ñ February 25, 2003 Ñ SciQuest Inc. today announced that Emory University, one of the top 25 research universities in the United States, has licensed the SelectSite Spend Director supplier enablement solution to manage product information for key suppliers.

According to SciQuest, SelectSite Spend Director is a Web-based supplier enablement, catalog management and contract compliance solution for research-intensive organizations seeking to enhance their procurement processes to increase on-contract spending and improve enterprise productivity.

Emory University said it has licensed Spend Director for an initial implementation in the Procurement and Materials Services department. Emory has also licensed the SciQuest Science Catalog, which features more than 1,000 suppliers of scientific and lab supplies. Using the Spend Director solution, the department can enable the university's contract suppliers and configure pricing through a single, Web-based user interface.
