K-Swiss taps Inovis/IPNet combination to cut supply chain costs

Newport Beach, CA — July 9, 2003 — Inovis Inc., a B2B trading community enabler, and connectivity solution provider IPNet Solutions Inc. announced this week that K-Swiss, a top manufacturer of athletic shoes, has integrated IPNet BizConnect with the Inovis: TrustedLink solution.

With BizConnect for EDI-INT exchange and TrustedLink for electronic data interchange (EDI) translation, K-Swiss said it estimates a significant reduction in communications fees and other costs, including charge backs resulting from dial-up communication disconnects.

"One of the key criteria in selecting an EDI-INT solution was simple integration with our existing systems. Since K-Swiss already had Inovis: TrustedLink in place, it made sense to look at BizConnect, as the products are already integrated through an Inovis/IPNet partnership," said Gaylon Uptgraft, IT director for K-Swiss. "We expect to achieve a positive return on investment in less than a year.Ó

According to the provider, TrustedLink is already electronically enabling trading partners and small companies that are just beginning an e-commerce program.

IPNet BizManager BizConnect is am Internet EDI solution for exchanging purchase orders, invoices and other business documents with trading partners. BizConnect is a PC-based data exchange solution designed for small-to-medium size companies, and uses the Internet to eliminate the high cost of traditional connectivity fees and labor-intensive paper processes.
