According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple Inc. has entered ongoing discussions with the Indian government about possibly manufacturing its products there. The move is geared toward encouraging the sales potential of the company’s products in India.
Last month, Apple reportedly sent a letter to the Indian government citing how it plans to manufacture its high-end gadgets in India, and seeking financial incentives from the government.
This is not Apple’s first attempt to encourage iPhone's growth in India. Earlier this year, the company sought permission to sell refurbished products in India.
