InFocus hires Joe O'Sullivan as VP for global SCM; Lowe's promotes Mike Mabry to post of EVP for logistics, distribution

Chicago — September 23, 2004 — Two supply chain executive appointments to report this week, with a new hire at InFocus and a promotion at Lowe's.

Wilsonville, Ore.-based InFocus, a provider of digital projection technology and services, has named Joe O'Sullivan to be vice president for global supply chain management.

O'Sullivan brings to InFocus more than two decades of experience in procurement, global operations and supply chain management, including with computer and technology company Apple. O'Sullivan joined Apple in 1988, where he held various executive positions over the course of 13 years, residing in Ireland, Japan, California and Singapore.

While at Apple in Asia, O'Sullivan had product management responsibility for Apple's first global success in the consumer market, the iMac. He is credited with helping to transform Apple's regional Asian operations into a low cost, competitive, supply base with an OEM infrastructure to support consumer and channel markets and Apple's high velocity model.

"Joe's knowledge of major global markets will be instrumental to the expansion of InFocus business, and we are pleased to welcome him to the team," said Kyle Ranson, president and CEO at InFocus. "His procurement and business expertise spans the globe, with hands-on experience in some of the world's major markets, and his proven track record brings exceptional value to InFocus and to the management of our global supply chain worldwide."

Meanwhile, Mooresville, N.C.-based Lowe's Companies, the $30.8 billion home improvement chain, has promoted Mike Mabry to the position of executive vice president for logistics and distribution.

In his new capacity, Mabry will maintain responsibility for overseeing Lowe's distribution network and assume responsibility for the company's logistics function, which together expedite the replenishment of merchandise to more than 1,000 Lowe's stores across the country.

Mabry joined Lowe's as senior vice president of distribution in 2003 after a 12-year career with Wal-Mart Stores, where he served most recently as vice president of global services.

"Mike's supply chain background and expertise has strengthened a function that is already a key competitive advantage for Lowe's," said Robert Niblock, Lowe's president. "He has quickly distinguished himself as a key member of Lowe's senior management team and is certainly ready to assume additional responsibilities."
