Foster City, CA December 12, 2006 Arena Solutions, a provider of on-demand product lifecycle management (PLM) software for manufacturers, announced that it achieved increased bookings in the third fiscal quarter of 2006, which ended on September 30, 2006. The quarter saw the adoption of on-demand move upstream, with a number of large global enterprises selecting Arena PLM for the first time and many others upgrading their deployments to the application's Enterprise Edition.
Arena said its PLM software enables original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), suppliers and outsourced partners to collaborate in real time around a single set of information, regardless of geographic location or IT infrastructure. As a result, manufacturers are able to deliver their products to market faster, better manage and maintain regulatory compliance, and collaborate more effectively with an ever-expanding global supply chain for improved performance.
Among the global manufacturers selecting Arena PLM in Q3 2006 was Culligan International Co., a global innovator of water treatment solutions for business and residential use that's headquartered in Chicago with offices in 12 countries. Another was Enodis plc, a worldwide company focused on the design, manufacture and supply of food and beverage equipment, headquartered in the UK with global operations and technology centers in the United States, factories in eight countries and more than $1 billion in revenue.
Other new customers include: Sendum Wireless, a designer and manufacturer of wireless location devices based in British Columbia; and Frontier Silicon, a maker of semiconductor and modular solutions for digital multimedia products that's based in the UK with additional offices in Europe and Asia.
Also in Q3 2006, several existing Arena PLM customers upgraded their deployments to Arena PLM Enterprise Edition, thereby positioning them to leverage the application's full capabilities. Among them are International Truck & Engine, the operating company of Navistar International Corp. and a producer of trucks, buses and engines; and Sierra Wireless, a developer of high-quality wireless communications products.
