Steve Russell Joins OHL as President, Global Freight Management and Logistics Asia Pacific Region

Brings 25 years of logistics, supply chain management experience in Asia

BRENTWOOD, TN -- OHL continues its rapid global expansion with the hiring of Steve Russell as president, Global Freight Management and Logistics –Asia Pacific. Russell brings 25 years of logistics, supply chain management and go-to-market experience in Asia. At OHL, Russell, who will be based in Singapore, will have full responsibility for sales and operations throughout OHL’s Asia Pacific Region.

He is well versed in managing large multi-cultural teams in Asia, Australia and Japan, driving strategic growth, and opening new markets.”

Prior to joining the OHL team, Russell has served as president and CEO for the Asia Pacific region for Salesforce.com. He managed the Salesforce.com startup Asia expansion, introducing Web-based business applications to thousands of customers. Before his move to the Salesforce.com team, Russell was an investor partner with SEKO Global Logistics. In that capacity, he helped launch SEKO’s expansion into Europe, Asia and the Middle East from 2003 to 2005. It was here that Russell began managing the rollout of Salesforce.com.

Before relocating to Asia, Russell was a partner for 18 years at Alrod International Inc. a hi-tech-focused logistics company headquartered in California. At the same time he was founder of the worldwide Hi Tech Forwarder Network Inc., and he managed that company’s merger with logistics industry heavyweight, Circle International Inc. Russell was also a part of the integration of Circle with another public 3PL giant, Eagle Global Logistics, now CEVA, where Russell served as executive vice president of Global Sales.
