Chicago—Sept. 24, 2013—Xchanging, Inc., the business process, procurement and technology services provider, announced that it acquired MarketMaker 4 (MM4), a Chicago-based provider of online sourcing and negotiation solutions.
MM4's software-as-a-service (SaaS)-based technology—which addresses the entire sourcing lifecycle, helping procurement professionals determine not just how to source, but also what to source, when to source and from whom to source—can greatly strengthen Xchanging Procurement Services' e-sourcing capabilities.
The strategic acquisition also represents continued strong momentum in North America for London-based Xchanging and the company's Xchanging Procurement Services division, the third largest procurement services provider globally behind IBM and Accenture. Xchanging Procurement Services increased its North American customer base by nearly 400 percent in 2013.
