Best Western International Drives Higher Revenue and Improves Customer Experience via JDA Software Partnership

Scottsdale, Ariz.June 11, 2013—Global hospitality company Best Western International Inc. partnered with JDA Software Group Inc. to enhance business intelligence and capabilities to drive higher revenue across all channels and segments. Over the course of a two-phased rollout, the software provider’s JDA Demand and JDA Travel Price Optimizer solutions will enable Best Western to leverage demand insights, customer response and dynamic pricing to drive higher revenue across its properties while delivering exceptional customer experience for their customers.

“With competition at an all-time high, it is important for us to continually make strategic investments in innovative technology to deliver on our mission to enhance brand equity and increase member value,” said Ron Pohl, Senior Vice President of Brand Management and Member Services, Best Western International. “We believe that JDA’s innovation in price optimization and demand forecasting will give our individual properties the ability to maximize revenue potential during high and low demand periods. Hoteliers no longer have a choice when it comes to investing in smart pricing; it has to be done well, and we believe this strategic partnership with JDA will give us the ability to do just that.”

The centrally deployed solution should allow Best Western to achieve a single view of demand; understand available inventory; and apply competitive market pricing to generate improvements in revenue-per-available-room (RevPAR).

“JDA solutions are designed to deliver significant financial improvements to hotel chains such as Best Western,” said Anand Medepalli, Vice President of Industry Strategy for Pricing and Revenue Management, JDA Software Group Inc. “We are delighted that Best Western has selected JDA after their stringent due diligence because of the business benefits our solutions can deliver. We look forward to working with them to make the most out of every transaction now, and in the future, to meet their goals.”
