Chicago—Nov. 7, 2012—Loyola University Chicago's Quinlan School of Business announced the launch of the city's first and only Supply and Value Chain Center.

“We see this as a niche for our school,” said Kathleen A. Getz, Dean of the Quinlan School of Business. “No other educational institute in the area specializes in supply and value chain research, education and practice. We hope to be a resource for other academic leaders in the area as well as our growing list of professional partners.”

To be located at Loyola's Water Tower Campus, the center will provide a centralized venue for academics and industry leaders alike looking to network, share their insight and produce cutting-edge research with immediate, practical implications for the discipline of supply and value chain management.

The news of the center follows upon Quinlan’s Master of Science in Supply Chain Management program, which launched earlier this fall. The center fills a critical gap for Chicago as both a national and international hub for transportation, distribution and logistics.
