Hiperos Adds Finance & Compliance Expert to Board

D’Anne Hurd brings governance, regulatory compliance, technology and strategy expertise to Hiperos platform

Somerville, N.J.—Aug. 22, 2012 –Third-party management platform provider Hiperos welcomed D’Anne Hurd to its Board of Directors as its first independent director. She joins current board members Greg Dickinson (CEO), Michael Medici (Summit Partners) and Michele Flynn (a Founder and Chairman). Currently the President of Crawford Consulting, a management and transaction advisory firm, Hurd brings governance, regulatory compliance, technology and strategy expertise to the Hiperos platform.

“Companies today are using third parties—providers, sub-contractors, suppliers, contract manufacturers, distributors or partners—to deliver almost 50 percent of their customer-facing business functions and need a solution to simplify the complexity of managing these relationships,” said Hurd. “Hiperos offers a brilliant solution. Each third-party relationship brings significantly more complex and dynamic processes, exponentially more touchpoints and dispersed accountability. Running a business in today’s ever-changing environment is hard enough without the added complexity of managing third parties. These relationships, if not managed properly, can negatively impact your customers, pose a reputational risk and increase your exposure to regulatory penalties.”

Hurd served as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel of a series of venture-backed, biotech and high-tech emerging-growth companies in the greater Boston area. Her career started in finance with management roles at PepsiCo Inc. and GTE Corp.

“D’Anne brings tremendous experience to our board,” confirmed Greg Dickinson, Chief Executive Officer, Hiperos. “When we first conceived of the company, it was based on the idea that the complexity of third-party management needed to be simplified but support complex requirements and have the flexibility to address the changing demands of internal stakeholders and external regulators. D’Anne’s extensive expertise in regulatory compliance, finance and corporate governance provides a unique perspective into the needs of our client base and the expectations of the regulators. D’Anne understands the intersections of regulatory compliance, third-party management, governance and technology. We are honored to have her join our board,” he said.

Hiperos simplifies the complexity of managing third-party relationships so companies can maximize value and minimize risk of brand reputation, regulatory compliance and customer impact.

Hiperos developed a self-service platform that is built on a flexible framework, utilizes actionable intelligence and enables dynamic segmentation to ensure scalable, repeatable and targeted third-party management,” Hurd added. “The approach achieves spectacular results, is dynamic and provides continuous improvement.”
