Bill Connell Brings Unmatched Life Science and Supply Chain Expertise

Waltham, MA, January 5, 2012- Maxiom Consulting Group, Inc.,a  IT consulting firm exclusively serving the life sciences industry, today announced the addition of Bill Connell as Vice President and Supply Chain practice leader. Bill will play a lead role in delivering supply chain services to Maxiom Group's Life Science clients.

Bill brings over 25 years of industry experience and consulting, most recently as Senior Vice President of Global Supply and Operations at Iroko Pharmaceuticals/Iroko Cardio. Prior to that, Bill was Principal and Supply Chain Practice Director at Tunnell Consulting for 10 years, serving clients in the pharmaceutical, chemical, manufacturing, logistics, distribution and transportation industries. Bill's previous clients include:  Novartis, Wyeth, Herbalife, Hospira, Mayne Pharma, URL Mutual, Iroko Pharmaceuticals, AmerisourceBergen, Aventis Behring, King Pharmaceuticals, Roche, TEVA Pharmaceuticals.

Bill will further enhance Maxiom Group's experience base and portfolio of supply chain services, including:

* Supply chain strategy, design and business process development
* Supply chain network design and optimization
* Contract manufacturer (CMO), third party logistics (3PL) and distributor selection
* Inventory and materials management
* Supply chain risk analysis and mitigation
* Supply chain information systems (including ERP, e-pedigree and serialization)
* Transportation/logistics (including cold chain management)
* Sales and Operations planning.

Prior to Tunnell, Bill has held positions in Logistics Services, Contract Operations, Materials Management, Distribution, Material Systems, Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Engineering. Bill draws upon those experiences as well as his consulting career to provide clients with solutions that meet their needs.

Bill received his MBA from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his BS from University of Maine. He has also authored over 25 Project Briefs and Case Studies documenting project successes for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Transportation, Distribution and Supply Chain clients.
