CargoWise Signs Agreement with Senator International

German logistics provider selects ediEnterprise cloud solution

Milton Keynes, UK—Dec. 27, 2011—CargoWise, has signed a comprehensive agreement to implement its ediEnterprise solution with Senator International, one of Germany’s largest privately owned logistics service providers.

The agreement encompasses more than 1,000 individual users across Senator’s global business. Based in Hamburg, Germany, Senator is a global provider of logistics solutions focusing on air & sea cargo, logistics warehousing, fourth-party logistics and packaging, with services including supply chain management, customs clearance, event logistics and express services.

With state-of-the-art and highly efficient IT capabilities being key to Senator’s strategy of building a global business, the company realized its existing system could not adequately service its future business needs.

Senator Managing Director Tim-Oliver Kirschbaum said, “We needed a powerful globally capable system that would both support localization as well as allow for integration across our global operations. It was also important that our new solution utilize cloud-based technology to allow for easy integration and user efficiency with our partners & key clients.

“After a comprehensive tender process and deep product capability analysis, we chose CargoWise and its ediEnterprise solution as it stood out well above any other vendor or solution,” he added. “We need an agile partner with a proven growth and product capability with global capability and a flexible customer controlled on-demand licensing approach that would accommodate the demands of our worldwide operations.”
