The multiple-carrier sailing schedule integration allows Vanguard to streamline the way its global operations team obtains schedule data for more than 20 ocean carriers in one central location. Vanguard is also leveraging CargoSmart’s sailing schedule application for the iPhone to improve the quality of its customer services and strengthen its market competitiveness.
Vanguard's global coverage exceeds 90 offices of global presence and is supported by a widespread agency network, together operating in more than 100 countries. Its operations team previously needed to devote considerable human resources to obtaining accurate and up-to-date carrier schedules for its customers manually from different carriers’ websites, sales representatives and published schedules.
The company decided to automate the process, choosing CargoSmart’s sailing schedules to integrate with its in-house system to obtain high-quality data that CargoSmart verifies through a data optimization process before transferring the data into Vanguard’s system.

It helps shippers and logistics service providers to measure the schedule reliability of ocean carriers.
