Expands Active's freight fulfillment to global level; only corporate trading firm to be fully licensed, insured transportation broker and NVOCC

Pearl River, NY — February 21, 2006 — Corporate trade company Active International has acquired a majority stake in Marine Cargo Line LC, a licensed non-vessel operating common carrier ("NVOCC"), which will do business as Active Freight & Logistics.

Active said that the move expands its freight capabilities to a global level, making it the only corporate trading firm in the industry to be a fully licensed and insured transportation broker (MC# 499820) and NVOCC.

Active Freight & Logistics will provide clients with access to transportation providers around the world and provide services such as U.S. Customs Service, ocean and air imports and exports, next-day air letters and packages, public warehousing, inter-modal services and U.S. domestic freight (full truckload, less-than-load, small package), the company said.

Alan Elkin, Active International's CEO, Arthur Wagner, Active's president, and Richard Vendig, Active's chief financial officer, have joined the board of directors of Active Freight & Logistics. Eduardo Del Riego, former chairman of Marine Cargo Line, has been named president of Active Freight & Logistics.

"By combining the international operations of Marine Cargo Line with the U.S. domestic freight operations of Active International, Active Freight & Logistics has experience in handling over $1 billion in freight and logistics management that can benefit our clients," said Elkin.

"We're excited to be the first to offer clients a way to reduce the cash costs of key global supply chain expenses using Active's corporate trading model," added Riego.
