Homecare company taps Iasta for on-demand solution to drive cost savings

Indianapolis — April 18, 2006 — Homecare company ServiceMaster has selected an on-demand e-sourcing solution from Iasta to serve as a sourcing platform for driving cost savings.

ServiceMaster provides outsourcing services for residential and commercial customers through a network of over 5,500 company-owned and franchised service centers and business units.

After conducting an exhaustive market evaluation, ServiceMaster selected Iasta's strategic sourcing solution, Iasta SmartSource, running on a software-as-a-service model.

The ServiceMaster team had experience with various other e-sourcing industry tools previously, but the company tapped Iasta for its tools ease of deployment, functionality and support services capability.

With the combination of a suite of RFx and reverse auction tools, users at the company have been able to accommodate functional sourcing requirements with Iasta's e-sourcing experience. Since the deployment, the company has conducted several sourcing events that have driven cost savings and built internal momentum for adoption of the tool, according to Iasta.
