Memphis — June 16, 2006 — FedEx Corp. this week announced the launch of FedEx Critical Inventory Logistics, a supply chain service that will enable customers to manage high value and time critical inventory by using FedEx's portfolio of companies.

The service will focus on customers in telecommunication, semiconductor, biomedical and other high-technology industries.

Customers are increasingly looking to FedEx for our expertise in managing just-in-time, critical inventories, stated Tom Schmitt, president and CEO of FedEx Global Supply Chain Services. Our mix of networks allows FedEx to create customized solutions to address almost every supply chain need.

Schmitt added, Customers realize that this service will lower their costs by reducing inventory while providing more efficient network planning and the ability to choose shipping options based on timing and cost.

The FedEx networks will be utilized for this service, including: FedEx Global Supply Chain Services for customer service, operational management, centralized parts and device storage, distribution and replenishment; FedEx Kinko's and FedEx Express locations for the forward deployment and distribution of parts or devices; FedEx Express, FedEx Ground and FedEx Freight for next day shipping or other delivery options; and FedEx Custom Critical and FedEx Express for urgent, same day service.
