O4 Corporation aligns with Vision Chain as its demand signal repository; aim to offer joint customers visibility to help keep shelves stocked

Washington, DC — June 29, 2006 — O4 Corporation, a provider of mobile/wireless field sales and merchandising solutions for the consumer goods industry, is partnering with Vision Chain, which offers enterprise software that collects and harmonizes real-time retailer shelf data, to allow O4 clients to act upon in-store conditions such as out of stocks by issuing alerts to field-based representatives based on predetermined conditions.

O4 develops and markets solutions that automate sales and merchandising field operations, giving organizations tools they can use to maximize their revenue and reduce their costs. O4 Field Operations Solutions provide applications for mobile workers — on handheld or laptop devices — as well as in-office management tools that integrate with existing corporate information systems.

Vision Chain provides a distribution platform to move demand data into business applications. Beyond data mining and category management, Vision Chain helps capture information from demand forecasts to invoice deductions based on what happens in each store rather than relying on historical estimates.

As retailers continue to push consumer product suppliers to mine the shelf data, Vision Chain and O4 said that together they can offer their customers detailed visibility to in-store conditions and provide the real-time solutions to take action and keep shelves stocked with the right products.

"Vision Chain's Demand Signal Repository will offer O4 customers near real-time visibility into current store and outlet conditions," said Harris Fogel, president of O4 Corporation in North America. "Focusing field merchandisers and representatives on high priority situations can result in increased sales and reduced overall costs. Additionally, when field personnel are in a store, they can leverage fact-based information on movement, sales and profitability of products and provide actionable insight to store personnel and management for instantaneous decision making."

"Field sales teams are the eyes and ears of the consumer experience," said Shawn Dolley, CEO of Vision Chain. "We've long wanted a way to help teams on the ground know their shelf position before they ever get to the store. With up-to-date shelf information, the field teams can conduct less diagnosis and take more action, resulting in higher ROI for their companies."
