Specialty manufacturer selects SCA Technologies solution to support costing, budgeting and operations

Pittsburgh, PA — June 23, 2006 — Lone Star Steel Company has licensed a cost modeling solution from SCA Technologies to support the key business processes of costing, budgeting, operations and financial analysis for business decisions.

Lone Star Steel is a domestic manufacturer and marketer of oilfield and specialty tubing products. Its oilfield product line includes oil country tubular goods and line pipe, which are used in the drilling of oil and natural gas wells and the gathering and transmission of the oil and natural gas.

Steven Jaggers, vice president of finance at Lone Star Steel, said: "Our manufacturing processes are complex and require tools that are able to handle the intricacies of our business and provide reliable cost analysis and decision support.
