Sportswear company eyes faster response time, upgraded user functionality from Jesta solution

New York — January 3, 2005 — UNIONBAY Sportswear, a division of Seattle Pacific Industries, has upgraded to the latest version of Vision Sourcing and Demand Management from solution provider Jesta I.S., looking for faster response times and upgraded user functionality from the new solution.

According to Jesta, the Vision Suite's Sourcing and Demand Management modules have been tailored to address the unique needs of the apparel industry, from multiple procurement and production paths that allow organizations to track associated costs for individual products, to monitoring all phases of order processing, inventory and allocation.

"We began our relationship with Jesta I.S. in 1999 and implemented Sourcing and Demand Management shortly thereafter," said Rod Leung, vice president of corporate affairs for Seattle Pacific Industries. "The upgrade, will allow us to take full advantage of the new modifications."

Leung said that the company expected to see improvements in the speed of its daily functions with the advanced sales and PO entry features in the upgraded solution. "The system's scheduler will allow us to run tasks beyond regular business hours and will eliminate unnecessary use of the system's resources during peak usage times," Leung said. "The scheduler will also provide additional automation, including automatic invoicing and allocation."

The latest version of Vision Sourcing and Demand Management offers manufacturers and wholesalers features designed to increase usability, speed and efficiency, Jesta said.

"The system that Jesta I.S. offers today has evolved significantly from the system that UNIONBAY Sportswear went live on four years ago, " said Leslie Belcher, president of Jesta. He continued, "We have focused on improving the end user's experience, emphasizing ease of use, and easy access to available information."
