Cleveland, OH — January 21, 2005 — Group purchasing organization Corporate United is set to host an executive seminar on what it is calling one of the most pressing issues facing companies in 2005: sourcing employee benefits.

The free event, which will be held on February 17 in Independence, Ohio, is intended to provide a forum for human resources and procurement professionals to explore ways in which they can work together to deliver lower total costs and greater value across corporate benefits programs.

"As the cost of employee benefits programs continues to rise, human resources and procurement professionals are faced with the difficult task of reducing costs while maintaining quality and levels of service," said Gregg Mylett, president of Corporate United. "At Corporate United, we're focused on providing our members with access to leading-edge information they can use to address such challenges and deliver results, and our upcoming seminar promises to do just this."

The February 17 event will feature human resources and procurement executives from BAE Systems and Diebold who will share their experiences related to the cross-functional sourcing of benefits.

In addition, experts from benefits consulting organizations Watson Wyatt, Trivantage Pharmacy Strategies and Havensure will provide insights into industry trends. Members of the Corporate United team will also be on hand to share information on the changing nature of benefits spend and offer best practices for sourcing various categories.
