Xelus, One Network Ally to Unite Service Parts Planning with Execution

Cooperative sales and marketing agreement combines planning solution with incremental decision support technology

Service parts management specialist Xelus is allying with One Network Enterprises, a provider of Internet-based supply networks, to jointly promote, sell and implement their software into new and existing accounts.

The deal brings together Xelus' planning solution with incremental decision support technology from One Network. The two providers believe that the joint solution will give their customers the ability to make intelligent execution decisions, mindful of planning targets and objectives, to accelerate inventory velocity and reduce cycle times.

"Combining the Xelus parts planning solution with One Network's Intelligent Execution Manager facilitates the convergence of planning and execution," the providers said in a statement.

"We firmly believe that the future state of parts planning is one where the lines between the development of the plan and its execution become blurred, making planning and execution interactive," said Ed Wodarski, vice president of marketing and strategy at Xelus. "Our focus is to align ourselves with other world-class companies to complete that vision and provide the next plateau of benefit to our customers."

"The key to great service is to start with a good plan, and then rapidly respond to real-time demand changes throughout the service parts network," said Stan Beal, vice president of industry marketing at One Network. "One Network offers the industry's first incremental decision support technology, using business rules integrated with transaction management to react quickly to events. This way, day-to-day execution decisions support long-term plans and business objectives."
