Tourtellotte Consulting to acquire customer base in deal that comes just weeks after was firm named Inovis reseller partner

Framingham, MA — February 10, 2005 — Software development firm Tourtellotte Consulting is acquiring the sourcing business of Inovis, a provider of business-to-business solutions and services, in a deal that comes just weeks after Inovis named Tourtellotte an outsourcing and reseller partner for this area of Inovis' business.

"This full realignment reflects Inovis' commitment to providing a long-term strategy for its sourcing customers and its confidence that Tourtellotte is the best company to deliver on that strategy," Inovis said in a statement announcing the deal. "Inovis and Tourtellotte have jointly developed a comprehensive transition plan to ensure that client needs are met during the period of changeover."

Sean Feeney, president and CEO of Inovis, said that by handing off its sourcing business to Tourtellotte, Inovis was providing its customers with a strategic partner whose core strength is managing the complex and continuously evolving area of sourcing.

"Tourtellotte's ... methodology and domain expertise make them uniquely positioned to build on the existing product suite and provide new software solutions for our customers' supply chain processes," Feeney said.

Inovis announced in January an agreement with Tourtellotte under which the consultancy was to provide ongoing development, implementation and customer-specific professional services and support of Inovis Sourcing, which Inovis acquired through its merger with QRS Corporation (see story).

Said Edward Tourtellotte, president of Tourtellotte Consulting, "With the acquisition of Inovis' sourcing business, we have the opportunity to serve a powerful customer base, and not only protect but significantly enhance customer investment in this business."
