Building materials company taps transportation provider for dedicated contract carriage services
Miami — February 25, 2005 — Building materials manufacturer Owens Corning has expanded its relationship with transportation services provider Ryder System to now include dedicated contract carriage (DCC) services.
In addition to the existing full-service lease relationship, Ryder will provide Owens Corning with dedicated contract carriage services that include drivers for its vehicles, fleet management and vehicle maintenance services.
"We have had a successful relationship with Ryder," said Mike Cramer, director of global logistics for Owens Corning. "Our partnership with Ryder continues to expand as a direct result of our enhanced performance capabilities and quality service we deliver to our customers. We have confidence in Ryder's transportation and logistics capabilities."
