Supplier chooses software to improve ERP performance; speeds Web app response time by 50 percent

Campbell, CA — March 21, 2005 — British Sugar, the biggest supplier of sugar in the United Kingdom, said today it has chosen Redline Networks's E/X application front-end network appliance to improve the performance of its Web-based PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

Redline said its E/X appliance speeds British Sugar's Web application response time by up to 50 percent and improves consistency and reliability for the company's 200 employees accessing the application from 10 remote sites.

According to British Sugar, users also report more consistent and seamless transfers to different parts of the system with the Redline E/X appliance. British Sugar intends to use the Redline E/X solution with other Web-based applications and to provide caching functionality.

"Many companies using complex, Web-based enterprise applications, such as ERP systems, find that their existing infrastructure cannot cope with the extra demands being placed on it and only expensive remedial action can address the issue," said Craig Stouffer, vice president, marketing at Redline Networks. "Redline's E/X appliance reduces IT running costs and mitigates the need to purchase expensive hardware."
